I found these cute Mod Podged recipe boxes over at TheAdornedAbode Etsy shop which gave me the idea to try my own version. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TDaHVTe3NqA/UTYZu9ARr-I/AAAAAAAAAVE/3NnS4LnRfjc/s1600/il_570xN_297765937.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="263" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TDaHVTe3NqA/UTYZu9ARr-I/AAAAAAAAAVE/3NnS4LnRfjc/s320/il_570xN_297765937.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used my Grandma's old rusty metal recipe box. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qErEDhufpZI/UTYaWw0XKXI/AAAAAAAAAVM/OCjvU01-k1Q/s1600/DSC01041.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qErEDhufpZI/UTYaWw0XKXI/AAAAAAAAAVM/OCjvU01-k1Q/s320/DSC01041.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I found some cute vintage looking scrapbook paper to use. For the edges I used brown shoe polish to give the box a rustic look. Then I hot glued a couple buttons on.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kvY3cVaNO2Y/UTYaaabT_cI/AAAAAAAAAVU/oYY58ywQ4FU/s1600/DSC01044.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kvY3cVaNO2Y/UTYaaabT_cI/AAAAAAAAAVU/oYY58ywQ4FU/s640/DSC01044.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rYh33FPD7RQ/UTYablaDYHI/AAAAAAAAAVc/FExvTQ1FlIs/s1600/DSC01043.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rYh33FPD7RQ/UTYablaDYHI/AAAAAAAAAVc/FExvTQ1FlIs/s640/DSC01043.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Oj0E7I6hZy8/UTYadGcuToI/AAAAAAAAAVk/TGEtoO8eIQE/s1600/DSC01049.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Oj0E7I6hZy8/UTYadGcuToI/AAAAAAAAAVk/TGEtoO8eIQE/s640/DSC01049.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I just love how it turned out. It's almost too cute to use as a recipe box.</div>

Here are some cute Valentine crafts I made this year:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I made this cute raccoon for my great niece. I filled it up with chocolate hearts. You can download the template for the pillow box <a href="http://www.homemade-gifts-made-easy.com/gift-box-templates.html" target="_blank">HERE</a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-A3Y3YEdGlZM/USd9o1hTJgI/AAAAAAAAAUM/5B9G_lqixvE/s1600/DSC00929.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="512" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-A3Y3YEdGlZM/USd9o1hTJgI/AAAAAAAAAUM/5B9G_lqixvE/s640/DSC00929.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
I used the same template to make this owl in a nest. The nest is made from a recycled mushroom box. I just covered it with scrapbook paper and added shredded brown paper and chocolate hearts.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

For this button necklace I wrapped wire through one button hole of each button and then wrapped the wire around itself with a loop on the end. Then I attached each button/wire to a ball chain. <span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Here is a fun little Halloween project that is very easy to create. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Materials Needed:</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Mason Jar</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Bandage Roll</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Hot Glue</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Scissors</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Googly Eyes</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zbMBBwV3sQ8/UGBVYXB7kQI/AAAAAAAAATA/JcleFNzt1BM/s1600/Mason+Jar+Mummy+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zbMBBwV3sQ8/UGBVYXB7kQI/AAAAAAAAATA/JcleFNzt1BM/s640/Mason+Jar+Mummy+2.jpg" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> I found the bandage roll at Walmart for a couple dollars. It was a little too wide so I ended up cutting it in half. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kTCrSc7TIYI/UGBViTg0hsI/AAAAAAAAATI/Gsv_NbDqmEM/s1600/Mason+Jar+Mummy+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kTCrSc7TIYI/UGBViTg0hsI/AAAAAAAAATI/Gsv_NbDqmEM/s400/Mason+Jar+Mummy+3.jpg" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> I started at the top of the jar and hot glued the bandage around the inside rim. I suggest if you use a real tea light candle to NOT put the bandage on the inside. I always use the battery operated candles. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The next step is to keep twisting the bandage around the jar and adding dabs of hot glue to hold the bandage on. Keep doing this until you reach the bottom, then hot glue the end of the bandage under the jar. The last step is to glue two cute little googly eyes on.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I made this cute little Robin over the weekend. The body is made out of paper mache. The wings are pieces of cardstock painted and hot glued on. And for the legs I used paper clips. It is painted with indoor/outdoor acrylic craft paint.</div>

You can find the recipe for paper mache paste here:</div>

Here's another storage box made out of a cardboard box. I made this one for my son's nautical themed room for storing stuff in his closet. I used stiff burlap and trimmed it with rope. I used a stencil for the anchor and just colored it in with a Sharpie.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Here's my latest project, a chicken wire memo board/key holder. It measures 24 inches wide by 28 inches tall. The frame is made out of old barn wood. The board with the key hooks is just a piece of scrap wood. I painted and distressed it and screwed the hooks in. Then used wood glue to secure it inside the frame.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gESFF8tUxl0/T563OT3SaZI/AAAAAAAAAPI/a2q4NeohEFw/s1600/Chicken+Wire+Key+Holder1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gESFF8tUxl0/T563OT3SaZI/AAAAAAAAAPI/a2q4NeohEFw/s640/Chicken+Wire+Key+Holder1.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I cut a pocket out of an old pair of jeans and stuck a few dandelions in it, so cute.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RFkBVkrdKzs/T562-PO7RzI/AAAAAAAAAPA/QV0-3iwbKCg/s1600/Chicken+Wire+Key+Holder.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RFkBVkrdKzs/T562-PO7RzI/AAAAAAAAAPA/QV0-3iwbKCg/s640/Chicken+Wire+Key+Holder.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had some skeleton keys that I hung on the hooks for decoration.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gWUG5ut1y34/T563aEhnKhI/AAAAAAAAAPQ/b_O7WBonV70/s1600/Chicken+Wire+Key+Holder2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gWUG5ut1y34/T563aEhnKhI/AAAAAAAAAPQ/b_O7WBonV70/s640/Chicken+Wire+Key+Holder2.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I painted and distressed six clothespins for hanging photos or memos.</div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I saw this cute little birdhouse on Pinterest. It was for sale on Etsy by </span></div>

This was a fun little project. I've been seeing these storage boxes made out of simple cardboard boxes on Pinterest. So I decided to try it out for myself. I found some cute gray polka-dot fabric at a local thrift store. And I had some pretty purple ribbon on hand to go with it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-02a4AjBwM8k/T5g5jZxFFnI/AAAAAAAAANg/aCSz0duvAVs/s1600/storage+box.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-02a4AjBwM8k/T5g5jZxFFnI/AAAAAAAAANg/aCSz0duvAVs/s640/storage+box.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The supplies I used: a simple cardboard box, fabric, ribbon, scissors, hot glue gun, and a tape measure. First I measured and cut four rectangle pieces, one for each side of the box.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Bm1vMvLb8mY/T5g52ELUhNI/AAAAAAAAANo/YLWw8fJv66w/s1600/storage+box1.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Bm1vMvLb8mY/T5g52ELUhNI/AAAAAAAAANo/YLWw8fJv66w/s400/storage+box1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Cev2flLx63U/T5g59gEBYrI/AAAAAAAAANw/LBrYIofWcxw/s1600/storage+box2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Cev2flLx63U/T5g59gEBYrI/AAAAAAAAANw/LBrYIofWcxw/s400/storage+box2.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The next step was to hot glue the fabric onto the box. I started by gluing the bottom edges then flipped the box over to glue the top. I only put the fabric about two inches into the inside of the box because the box is going to be filled with stuff anyway. No need to waste fabric. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SmL4WUFyIPw/T5g6I71q22I/AAAAAAAAAN4/KwaodEcOntQ/s1600/storage+box3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SmL4WUFyIPw/T5g6I71q22I/AAAAAAAAAN4/KwaodEcOntQ/s320/storage+box3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then I hot glued ribbon on each corner of the box and also ran the ribbon along the rim.</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oliadhUW6eE/T5g6WtSEKoI/AAAAAAAAAOA/uQTN7eNe-5Q/s1600/storage+box4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oliadhUW6eE/T5g6WtSEKoI/AAAAAAAAAOA/uQTN7eNe-5Q/s320/storage+box4.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Start gluing the top ribbon at one corner of the box</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I think it turned out pretty good for my first try. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fhdUSrv6rV0/T5g6nEeWB4I/AAAAAAAAAOI/BdNBg-8mQKo/s1600/storage+box5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fhdUSrv6rV0/T5g6nEeWB4I/AAAAAAAAAOI/BdNBg-8mQKo/s640/storage+box5.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Yesterday I attempted to make a little driftwood sailboat for my sons new room. First I found some driftwood pieces (1 stick-like piece for the mast and one larger piece for the hull). I broke off about 1 1/2 inches off the stick piece to go on the side of the hull. I drilled two holes, one on the top and one on the side of the hull. The two sticks fit snugly inside the holes. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-05OeBGHuL20/T5K9yLSrqCI/AAAAAAAAANI/BMFWydQL6WE/s1600/DSC01111.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-05OeBGHuL20/T5K9yLSrqCI/AAAAAAAAANI/BMFWydQL6WE/s640/DSC01111.JPG" width="480" /></span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"> I tied some twine around the top of the mast, connecting one down to the smaller stick, the other just lay freely. Then I took some stiff burlap (found at a local thrift store for $1/yard) and cut out two triangles for the sails. I hot glued them to the top of the mast and then glued the twine on the edges of the sails.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-71KTaT3Iolg/T5K90CDpEfI/AAAAAAAAANQ/o3-FxqjpOm0/s1600/DSC01163.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-71KTaT3Iolg/T5K90CDpEfI/AAAAAAAAANQ/o3-FxqjpOm0/s640/DSC01163.JPG" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"> I was lucky to have found a driftwood stick that had a natural looking flag. If I didn't I probably would have made one out of scrapbook paper or a piece of fabric.</span></div>

Easter is almost here and my house is looking pretty festive. Yesterday I made these crackle eggs. I used Rust-Oleum American Accents Crackle Creations spray paint. I just took four cheap plastic eggs, sprayed the black base coat on and left them sit for about an hour. Then I sprayed the top coat on and they turned out pretty cool. </div>

Here is my front porch decorated with an old crate, barrel, pitch fork, pussy willows, barbed wire and a wooden basket(found at Goodwill) with plastic eggs and Spanish moss. The Fresh Eggs sign I made out of drift wood. <br />

I made this felt board for my son's newly remodeled room. I found the cork board at a local thrift store for $1.50. It measures 23 1/5 X 35 1/4 inches. I bought a yard each of blue(sky) and green(grass) felt. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FApb1eugn_Y/T2esdsGfjGI/AAAAAAAAAKY/UNr9vDhDM6U/s1600/felt+board.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FApb1eugn_Y/T2esdsGfjGI/AAAAAAAAAKY/UNr9vDhDM6U/s640/felt+board.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I stapled the blue on first and then cut the green in half to put over the blue. I also glued the green on the front to keep it from coming off.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--vawYgC7Z4k/T2espVABvdI/AAAAAAAAAKg/WoavXS5h7qQ/s1600/felt+board2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--vawYgC7Z4k/T2espVABvdI/AAAAAAAAAKg/WoavXS5h7qQ/s640/felt+board2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
To make the felt pictures you will need Mod Podge, a paint brush, felt pieces, and a photo/image. I printed my pictures then Mod Podged them to the felt. I also put a layer of Mod Podge over the image.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">

I made this Baltimore Oriole feeder last summer with my dad. We took four boards and made a rectangular frame. The bottom board we used a drill press to drill two holes for the little jelly(grape) cups to sit in. Then we nailed a board on the back and put two screws in it to hold the oranges. I used four eye screws and some wire to hang it. </div>

Thought I'd share this awesome icicle photo I took over the weekend. It was hanging off of our garage after our big snow storm we had last week.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZTZJsXE7rng/T1aCASbFLnI/AAAAAAAAAIw/wDMqueRdhfc/s1600/Icicle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZTZJsXE7rng/T1aCASbFLnI/AAAAAAAAAIw/wDMqueRdhfc/s640/Icicle.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I've been working on my laundry area over the winter. It is down in our dreary, dark, dungeon of a basement. I figured it could use a bit of color down there. So I chose two colors to work with: Lime Green and Magenta. There were these boards bolted to the walls to start with, so I got to painting them first. I put up a shelf and a paper towel holder on the largest board above the washer.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XdsEUqRHrWE/T1aCbB_PT4I/AAAAAAAAAJA/lFgMJLm8SGE/s1600/Laundry+Area.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XdsEUqRHrWE/T1aCbB_PT4I/AAAAAAAAAJA/lFgMJLm8SGE/s640/Laundry+Area.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>

<tr><td style="text-align: center;">For the laundry sign I found an old weathered barn board. I printed the letters out on cardstock, cut them out, and traced around them. Then I painted them in on the board with, yep you guessed it, ivory colored paint.<br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-S34yZ4oMHCc/T1aDL-_LyKI/AAAAAAAAAJg/f8zC5GBrii8/s1600/Laundry+Sign.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-S34yZ4oMHCc/T1aDL-_LyKI/AAAAAAAAAJg/f8zC5GBrii8/s640/Laundry+Sign.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I am so impressed with myself, I just made my son's birthday invitations. The program I used to make them is called Photo Explosion SE. It's a pretty old program but it seemed to work well for these invites. SpongeBob is the theme this year. We're having burgers(Krabby Patties), various salads and snacks, and punch to drink. For the cake I'm making Camden his own Bikini Bottom cake and then I'm making Krabby Patty cupcakes for everyone else.</span></div>

I found this old bike wheel in my sisters old barn last summer. So I brought it home and painted it an ivory color(can you tell I like that color?). I've had so much fun changing out the photos. Sepia photos look great on it and for Christmas I had photos of my son's first Christmas, so cute. So now that spring is right around the corner I have some photos of my dog, Foxy with some beautiful flowers. I also use some weathered clothespins to give it that rustic look. </div>

Here are some of my Spring/Easter decorations this year. I just love this baby chick in a vintage birdcage. The chick is made out of construction paper. I found the birdcage at a local thrift store, I think it is made of bamboo.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Here are some book page eggs I made for Easter this year. I just took plastic Easter eggs and Mod Podged them with old book pages. I gave them a distressed look by wiping a little brown shoe polish over them. I wrapped ribbon around and then tied with a piece of twine. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This garden/tool crate I made last year. It is made out of scrap wood, and the handle is a birch branch. I painted it an ivory color then distressed it and stenciled in the word GROW. The other side I left plain so I can just flip it around and use it for other seasons and holidays.</div>

Here is a chicken wire photo frame I made. I just took an old wooden frame and painted it an ivory color. Then I sanded it in random areas to make it look distressed and applied stain to the sanded areas to darken them. To apply the chicken wire I just cut a piece to fit the back where the glass would go then stapled it on. Then I just found a tiny craft clothespin to attach a photo of my son, Camden. Awwww, isn't he adorable.</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
Here is an old suitcase that was in major need of an upgrade. It was in such bad shape I didn't know if it was even going to turn out. First I took all the fabric out from the inside of the suitcase and used painters tape to cover the hardware. Then I painted the outside with Rust-Oleum Gloss Khaki spray paint. </div>

I took various scrapbook paper and cut them to different sizes and Mod Podged them to the inside of the suitcase. Then I took green ribbon and attached it to each side with hot glue so the lid would stay open. It turned out better than I expected. :~)<br />

Last summer some loggers came and took most of the larger trees down, it was so sad to see. They even cut down some of the smaller trees and just left them lay on the ground. So in the fall, I went out and collected some Birch bark and some of the smaller trees to use for some of my crafts. The below photo is of two Birch bark photo frames. First I took some frames I bought at a thrift store then hot glued the birch bark on. The photos are some of my own that I took of flowers in my yard. Sorry about the flash :~)<br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

These candle holders I made for my table centerpiece during Christmas. First I cut three different lengths of Birch wood. Then I used a drill press to make holes in the tops. The tops are also painted white with acrylic craft paint. And the snowflakes were done with a wood burning tool. <br />

This was one of my projects from last summer. This old bike was just sitting in my back yard for years so I thought I'd spruce it up a bit. First I cleaned it up a bit with soap and water. It was pretty dirty from sitting so long. Then I masked off everything that wasn't red(that was the most time consuming part). Then I got to spray painting it a baby blue. The basket I found and a thrift sale and I found some blue and white flowers to match. It looks pretty in it's new home in the FRONT yard. I think it turned out great!</div>

<br />
I love working with driftwood. Here are some of my favorites I made last summer. All are on driftwood from Lake Superior. My boyfriend, Bill, is from Superior, WI so we go there often to visit his mother. We also went to Ashland, WI last summer and collected a bunch of unique driftwood pieces. We will definately be going back there this summer. I can't wait!<br />
